Our fields are easy to find, but in case you need directions, check out what our fields and parks have to
offer and the easiest way to get there from almost anywhere.
Cecil Park – This field is located on Route 50 approximately 1.5 miles from the Cecil Township Fire Department
and is adjacent to the new Cecil Township Municipal Building. This field is home to many of our boys’ baseball
and girls’ softball games and is in use almost 7-days/week from April-July. This field is equipped with a
parking lot, lights, homerun fence, restrooms, vending machines and a concession stand (open during games only).
Cecil Park also provides other amenities such as pavilion shelters, playground, tennis courts, basketball court
and a scenic walking trail. This park is considered one of the premier parks in Washington County.
Directions from:
Downtown Canonsburg: From Pike Street, take Route 980 North for approximately 5.5 miles.
At the first stop sign, make a right onto Route 50 East. Travel approximately .6 mile and Cecil Park parking lot is on the right.
North Strabane: Travel on Morganza Road (North towards Bridgeville) and make a left on
Cecil-Henderson Road (Big Jim’s Roadhouse will be on the immediate right). Travel for approximately 2.4 miles. At the first
stop sign, bear to the right, then quickly bear to the left. Proceed down the hill (still on Cecil-Henderson Road) past St.
Mary’s church on the left to the next stop sign. This is Route 50. Make a left on Route 50 and proceed approximately 3.0
miles. Once past the Cecil Township Municipal Building, proceed around the next turn and the parking lot will be on the left.
McDonald: Travel on Route 980 South. At the second stop sign, make a left onto Route
50 East. Travel approximately .6 mile and the Cecil Park parking lot will be on the right.
Hendersonville – This field is located on Oriole Drive, approximately 1.5 miles from the Southpointe
Exit on Interstate 79. Primarily used for boy’s baseball, this field has plenty of parking as well as a small playground.
Additionally, the field is completely surrounded by a fence. At this time, there is no concession stand, but plans are in place,
over the next year, to have some type of facility to serve drinks.
Directions from:
Canonsburg: From the intersection of Pike Street, Route 980 and Morganza Road, make
a right onto Morganza Road and go past the Pizza Hut. Go through the next 2 stoplights and continue on Morganza Road past
the Southpointe entrance. At the stop sign, make a left. This will still be Morganza Road. Continue on for approximately
2.2 miles, at the bottom of the hill past Vincent’s Pizza (which is on the left), Oriole Drive will be the second left turn.
Continue back this road for ½ mile. The field is on the right.
McDonald: Follow Route 980 South. Make a left onto Route 50 East. Travel 3.0 miles.
Once Route 50 turns into a four-lane highway, make the first right onto Cecil-Henderson Road. Continue on Cecil-Henderson
Road for approximately 3.0 miles. At the stop sign, make a right and then an immediate right onto Oriole Drive. Continue
back this road for ½ mile. The field is on the right.
Downtown Cecil: Follow Route 50 (two lane road) east towards Bridgeville. Once Route 50
turns into a four-lane highway, make the first right onto Cecil-Henderson Road. Continue on Cecil-Henderson Road for
approximately 3.0 miles. At the stop sign, make a right and then an immediate right onto Oriole Drive. Continue back this
road for ½ mile. The field is on the right.
Cecil Elementary – This field is on Route 50 on the East side of Cecil. Primarily used for Shetland
(Tee-ball), Mustang, girl’s softball and practice, this field is part of the Canon-McMillan School District and connects with Cecil Elementary
School. This field does have limited parking, but has a playground and an open soccer field for play (when not in use by GCYSA team).
Directions from:
Canonsburg: From Pike Street, follow Route 980 North for approximately 1.8 miles.
Make a right onto Muse-Bishop Road (not marked, but follow the sign that points to “Muse”) and continue for approximately 3.1
miles. At the stop sign, make a right onto Route 50 East. Continue through Cecil for approximately .9 mile. Just after the
Texaco station on the left, make a right on Mawhinney Road. The field is immediately on the left.
Lawrence and North Strabane: From Morganza Road (heading towards Bridgeville), make a left
on Cecil-Henderson Road (Big Jim’s Roadhouse will be on the immediate right). Travel approximately 2.4 miles. At the first
stop sign, bear to the right, then quickly bear to the left. Proceed down the hill (still on Cecil-Henderson Road) past St.
Mary’s church on the left to the next stop sign. This is Route 50. Make a left on Route 50. Travel approximately ½ mile and
make a left onto Mawhinney Road. The field is immediately on the left.
McDonald: Travel Route 980 to the intersection of 980 and Rt. 50. At the stop sign, make
a left. Travel approximately 2.7 miles passing Cecil Park, Cecil Fire Department and the Texaco on the left. Just after the
Texaco station, make a right onto Mawhinney Road. Field is immediately on the left.
Lawrence
Field – From 79 take the Southpointe Exit.
At the stop sign make the right (if coming from
Canonsburg or a left if coming from Bridgeville) and
follow to the next stop sign. You will then make the
left onto Morganza. Follow for about 3/4 of a mile and
make the right onto Georgetown Road.
Follow this road, it is very twisty and winding, stay
left at the sharp turn. Continue on the road until you
see the Lawrence Post Office, at the
Post Office make the left on School St. and follow back
behind a lot of homes. The fields are behind all of the
homes on 3rd Street.
Burgettstown
Baseball Fields - Burgettstown is approximately 25 minutes from Cecil Park
directly off of Bavington Road.
Directions from:
- Cecil Park: Take Route 50 West through
Hickory. Make a right onto Route 18 North towards
Burgettstown (there will be a sign that says 'Burgettstown -
8 miles). Once into Burgettstown, go to the 3rd
traffic light and make a right onto Bavington Road (look for
sign the says ' Burgettstown High School'). Go to the
top of the hill and make a right into the James Hillman
Memorial Park.

Allison Park (Chartiers-Houston)
- Allison Park is about 15 minutes from Cecil Park.
Directions from:
- Cecil Park: Take Route 50 West to Route 980
South. Approximately 2 miles, make a right onto
Chartiers Run Road (not marked, but this road is across from
O'Hare Road). Go approximately 3 miles. At the
first traffic light, make a right onto Pike Street heading
South. Once past the Chartiers-Houston High School,
make a right onto McGovern Street. Go approximately
3-4 stop signs and the fields will be on the left.

- Polar Star Fields is about 30 minutes from Cecil Park.
